Hello!
My name is Milana Tatarintseva and i’m one of your vice chairs. I’m a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and minoring in BioEngineering. After doing MUN for three years in high school, I’m excited to be part of BMUN for the second time!
I was born in Russia and moved to Los Angeles when I was two. Although I miss going to the beach and driving around the city back home, I have immensely enjoyed my time at Berkeley so far. In my free time I love playing lots of card games, going on walks, and eating too much dessert. In normal circumstances, I also love traveling! The picture is from the Plaza de Espana in Seville.
Joining MUN in high school was one of the most impactful decisions I ever made. After writing a nine-page paper on the South Sudanese Civil War and giving a speech on it in front of 200 people at BMUN three years ago, a lot of other things didn’t seem as scary. One of my favorite conference experiences was a joint crisis cabinet on the Second Punic War between Rome and Carthage. The entire weekend had an evolving dynamic with lots of interesting turns in the story. This committee has the potential for such development and much more, so I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.
I hope you learn something new while preparing for BMUN and I hope you have an awesome, memorable experience during the conference. Good luck and can’t wait to see you all in February!
