Mathilde McKeever Introduction

Hi everyone! I'm Mathilde and will be one of your vice-chairs for the USSR cabinet!  This will be my third year in BMUN, and my 6th year doing Model UN overall. Crisis committees have always been my favorite, and I'm super excited to see what ideas you all bring to conference this year, as well as where the US, the USSR and Cuba will end up by the end of committee (hopefully still in existence!) I went to high school in Albany CA, right next to Berkeley, but I'm originally from Nova Scotia, Canada and I often find myself missing seasons changing (also Tim Hortons). At Cal, I'm a junior studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In my free time, I love to swim, hike, and explore campus - though unfortunately these days I don't go as often. I also love traveling, especially to places that have either snow or castles - bonus points if the place has both! I'm looking forward to conference this year, and I hope you are all as well! Please don't hesita...

Alex Plewinski Introduction

Hey delegates, My name is Alex Plewinski. I'm a freshman at Berkeley originally from Miami, FL studying Mechanical Engineering. While I'm focused on engineering for my career, I absolutely love Model UN and have participated in it since sophomore year of high school. I was primarily a crisis delegate, so I'm super excited to be a part of this committee to see what you guys make of one of the most crisis-y events of human history. Outside of Model UN, I'm interested in tech, politics, basketball, and MMA. I have also been going on annual camping trips with my family in various national parks since I was 8, my favorite of which was in Joshua Tree National Park. Once again, I'm super excited to  get to know you guys as you navigate and put your spin on the Cuban Missile Crisis. See you in committee! Alex Plewinski

Vaishik Kota Introduction

Hey Delegates! My name is Vaishik Kota and I will be a Vice-Chair for this year's Joint Cabinet Crisis. I am a freshman at Berkeley intending on majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology & Business Administration on the pre-med track. I've been a part of Model UN for the past 4 years and have competed in BMUN every year since. I'm super excited to be chairing JCC this year because I feel like crisis really brings out the best in every delegate! When I'm not debating the world's issues, I enjoy playing volleyball and basketball, binging Netflix, and spending way too many hours on FIFA and 2K. I am also a proud Miami Heat and will talk about basketball forever.  Please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about our committee or the conference in general. I look forward to seeing you all in February!! -Vaishik Kota

Milana Tatarintseva Introduction

Hello! My name is Milana Tatarintseva and i’m one of your vice chairs. I’m a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and minoring in BioEngineering. After doing MUN for three years in high school, I’m excited to be part of BMUN for the second time! I was born in Russia and moved to Los Angeles when I was two. Although I miss going to the beach and driving around the city back home, I have immensely enjoyed my time at Berkeley so far. In my free time I love playing lots of card games, going on walks, and eating too much dessert. In normal circumstances, I also love traveling! The picture is from the Plaza de Espana in Seville. Joining MUN in high school was one of the most impactful decisions I ever made. After writing a nine-page paper on the South Sudanese Civil War and giving a speech on it in front of 200 people at BMUN three years ago, a lot of other things didn’t seem as scary. One of my favorite conference experiences was a joint crisis cabinet on the Second Punic War between Rome...

Jinwei Zhang Introduction

My name is Jin Wei Zhang and I have the pleasure of serving as your vice chair for BMUN LXVIV’s JCC Committee. I am currently a junior at UC Berkeley, studying computer science and economics. I joined BMUN during my freshman year, so this is my third year in BMUN and fifth year in MUN overall. Originally from Guang Zhou, China, I grew up mostly in Vancouver, Canada. Outside of school, I love binge-watching TV shows, listening to hip hop and indie music, swimming, playing Super Smash Bros, and binging a lot of Youtube.

Megan Gramling Introduction

Hi delegates! My name is Megan Gramling and I will be your head chair for JCC for BMUN LXIX. I am currently a sophomore at Berkeley, hoping to major in Business Administration and Political Science. This is my sixth year of participating in MUN and my second year in BMUN. Outside of BMUN, I love to hike, watch movies, and travel.  I am from Orange County so one of my favorite pastimes, when I'm home, is going to the beach. I also enjoy running and just recently ran a half marathon with my family. Feel free to reach out with any questions about the topic, our committee, or the conference in general. I am so excited to meet you all virtually in February and hear your wonderful solutions to our crisis! Megan Gramling

Introduction: Eric U.S.S.R. Co-Chair

Hello Comrades! My name is Eric and I'll be your JCC co-chair of the U.S.S.R. Cabinet. I'm a 2nd year student studying computer science. I also do research on flying drones through VR, (used to) run, and ballroom dance. Although now its more like watch TV / movies at home so if you got any good suggestions please let me know. I've been doing MUN for 5 years now and BMUN was one of the first conferences I attended! While this year brings a change of venue, I can't wait to see how you adapt to this new medium. Will it be representative of hinderances in communication during the real Missile Crisis? Or will broad access to the internet mean improved collaboration and better informed decision making? I'm super excited to create some interesting crises for you as we go beat those U.S. imperialists! See you in committee! Eric
